emmatranslation started in 2009 as a small operation serving local law firms in the Chattanooga area. The early work was almost entirely immigration document translation, which is demanding in a specific way: every term has to be precisely right because an error in a client name, a date, or a legal status classification can delay or derail a case.
Over time, the client base expanded. Medical device companies found us when they needed FDA documentation in European languages. Regional businesses moving into Spanish-speaking markets came to us for website localization. The niche stayed consistent: clients where accuracy genuinely mattered.
We work with a network of specialist translators, each matched to projects by language pair and subject domain. Nobody on the team translates outside their area. A legal translator does not handle pharmaceutical documents. A technical writer does not handle court filings. That matching step is why our accuracy rate is where it is.
